PowerStar's sealed construction and sealing technique ensure no electrolyte leakage can occur from the terminals or case, allowing safe and efficient operation in any position. These batteries are classified as "Non-Spillable" and meet all requirements of the International Air Transport Association.

The Absorptive Glass Mat (AGM) system in PowerStar batteries utilizes fine mat separators (glass fiber) that absorb sufficient electrolyte, providing the longest life and steady service. This system prevents the escape of electrolyte from the separator, which causes leakage.

PowerStar batteries incorporate a unique design that effectively controls the generation of gas and allows the recombination of over 90% of the gas generated during normal use.

Maintenance-Free Operation: During the expected floating service life of PowerStar batteries, there is no need to check the specific gravity of the electrolyte or add water, as they require no maintenance service. There is no provision for these maintenance functions.
